After a career in editorial photography,I have slowed down work wise to do my own projects.I have been working on one on 'Community',(See OwnWork) as seen through the lens of a rural village hall and also an urban community centre.I have done pictures of the demolition of the iconic Radcliffe Infirmary, where penicillin was developed(See Own Work). Then there are the street, travel pictures.I am also working on a set of landscapes that include a time element after seeing David Hockney at the Tate.During my travels for various national publications I collected pictures of scarecrows, rural sculptures with attitude!!!(See Own Work)
I am trying to make the ordinary interesting, capture the mundane and unspectacular, the quiet moments that make up an everyday life or environment. The moments when we are there but not there, the individual in the crowd, the silence between the words.
